Labor Day '09

My father-in-law turned the big SIX-OH! this weekend. Which gave everyone a great excuse to head to AZ and celebrate like ROCK STARS. It was Aaron's phenomenal parents, their 5 good-looking children, the 5 extraordinary spouses they married and 5 perfect little grandchildren all in the same house. What a weekend it was.... now if only we had another weekend to recover from our 3 am partying.

The weekend was entirely too short. Saying goodbye was devastating! You forget how much you miss everyone until you get together. Aaron's siblings don't see each other often enough. Everyone is spread apart and busy with their own lives-- work, school, babies, life. It really sucks that we live so far away from each other. I left AZ feeling so grateful to be a part of such a wonderful family. Three cheers for a fabulous Dad who has been an excellent example for his children and a wonderful grandfather to mine.
