Christmas Eve

We're starting our own traditions this year... well, trying to, at least. The boys opened new pj's on Christmas Eve. We were going to do Christmas jammies, but decided that Transformers would be a hit. We were right. Zack got snuggy puppy ones. For dinner we planned to do homemade pizzas (clawsons) and homemade eggnog (shumways) with cinnamon toast. But because we spent most of our evening doing wash and wrapping presents, we had Digorno pizza and store bought eggnog. The cinnamon toast was on homemade bread, though. Here is Luke giving a toast to Santa. Cheers!

We're Home!

Our trip to Utah was a success! It was five days jam-packed full of activities and lots of fun! Family parties, exchanging presents, the kids museum @ Gateway, playing with cousins, a late dinner with my best girl friends, and a beautiful WEDDING to boot! It was crazy for us to head back to Vegas on Christmas Eve, but we are SO excited to be home!! We are making cookies for Santa and cinnamon rolls for breakfast tomorrow.. it’ going to be a great Christmas! Lots of pictures will be posted later, but I just wanted to let you know that we made it safely… Tonight we will be nestled all snug in our very own beds.

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

crayon personality test

You Are a Yellow Crayon

Your world is colored with happy, warm, fun colors.
You have a thoughtful and wise way about you. Some people might even consider you a genius.
Charming and eloquent, you are able to get people to do things your way.
While you seem spontaneous and free wheeling, you are calculating to the extreme.

Your color wheel opposite is purple. You both are charismatic leaders, but purple people seem to you to have no depth.

This has got to be true... I mean, it says I am a genius. It's right on.

Ain't no foolin' this kid

Today we were discussing our Christmas Eve agenda. (My kids actually think I came up with the idea of setting out cookies and milk for Santa…score.) When we mentioned leaving carrots for the reindeer, Ben says, “Okay. I might believe in Santa, but you can NOT tell me that Rudolf is real.” When I asked him how Santa could get around without Rudolf, especially during a snow storm, he said, “There is no WAY I believe in a flying reindeer with a bright, blinking red nose. There’s just no chance.” As if he was offended by me thinking he was so gullible. I quickly changed the subject so he doesn’t ruin it for our other boys who actually have imaginations. Ben spoils all our fun... but he is a sweetheart. Listen to this...

He has been asking for this spy gear video remote control car for Christmas. I didn't have the slightest clue what he was talking about, so we took a trip to Toys R Us to "browse" the toys. We finally found the item, only to realize that it's $100. I didn't say anything to him-- because frankly, he's worth it. But after he saw the price tag, he said, "So, when Santa brings it to our house, do we have to pay him for it? Or does it matter how much it costs if the elves make it?" I thought it was so sweet of him to even ask. I told him that it doesn't really matter to Santa as long as he's a really good boy. But then he said, "Now that I've seen what it looks like, I don't really want it. I would rather have another Transformer or something." Is that not the cutest thing? I love him, even if he doesn't believe in flying reindeer.

Jaderbugs is gettting MARRIED!!

Yes, it’s true. Aaron’s baby sista is actually tying the knot!
We are SO excited for Jade and John.
The big day is December 21st and we are headed to Utah for the wedding.

Isn’t she a BEAUTY QUEEN??
She’s come a long way since the “Scraggle-Master” days.
j/k she has always been the CUTEST thing!
We love you, Jade and we’re so excited for your big day!
