water does the body good

Some of you don't envy us for living in the desert HEAT, but we haven't melted yet...
In fact, we're coping just fine.

Sometimes I miss the cool summer evenings, but last night when we were at the pool until 9 pm and the water was as warm as a bathtub, I didn't want to be anywhere else! We were drying off by the pool and my boys were being wild and crazy.. [they were SO ready for bed] Instead of getting frustrated and hauling them home, I pulled out my camera. When Cindy was here, she taught us this game where you make as many silly faces as you can in ten seconds (while someone else is taking pictures.) It may sound juvenile, but the pictures always turn out hilarious. We all laughed our heads off at some of the shots.

I am surprised that Zack even understands this game.. but he does! As soon as his ten seconds are up, he wants to see the goods on the camera. It's crazy the kind of technology my kids are growing up with. As I am typing, Zack is on my lap telling me to "scroll down" as if there is something better to see under what I am typing. And last night when I thought my kids were brushing their teeth, they were online searching "so cool transformer Halloween costumes." [Because #1) after one major holiday is over, you have to start planning for the next and #2) cool costumes aren't good enough.. they have to be SO cool.] I went to bed thinking about what the future holds for them... and what a JOY it is to be their mother...
