not this cute anymore!Denett and I took our kids to swim at the Marriott on Monday. It was HOT! We made sure to sunscreen our kids (because we're not completely irresponsible) but we didn't exactly protect ourselves. Little did we know we'd get fried. I actually love getting sun.. but I hate it when you can't sleep at night because the sheets hurt your skin... and my kids hate that I scream at them every time they touch me! Seriously, why do they have to be touching all the time???
All in all, it was a great day.. The highlight was most definitely Ben's cannonball. Denett and I could not stop laughing... and those flabby women hated us!
Even though I am complaining about my first sunburn, I am SO excited for summer!! (Yes, even the 100 degree temperatures.) Swimming = less laundry, exhausted kids, and sun-kissed skin.. what's NOT to like? To get us in the summer mood, we've been listening to a new music list... SUMMERTIME songs!

You're making me very, very jealous. I'm wearing a sweatshirt today, and I'm still cold.
I'm jealous. We had great weather for two days...I was planting my garden, mowing the lawn, painting my picnic table, etc. Today, the weather was not so nice and we are expecting several days of rain...pooh.
Why would you read in the pool? Weird, pools are for splashing.
What a great time! I wonder if those pool ladies read your blog - for some reason it wouldn't suprise me. Weirder things HAVE happened to you! And I noticed that you didn't put the Abercrombie and Fitch song from our first year at Ricks on your list - TOTALLY summer and TOTALLY college (even though it was only a hit for 3 months).

oh.. you know what reminds me of Ricks EVERY time I hear it? Believe by Cher. My husband hates that song with a passion... so I'm gonna add it.
We have had a beautiful week here in Utah, finally and I can't believe how happy the sunshine makes me!! I need it all year round.
Who reads in the pool? Seriously? The Santana song that Rob Thomas sings always reminds me of summer. Oh, and pretty much anything by Will Smith. If I thought about it I could come up with some good ones...

Is the price based on how many posts/pages you have published? Because I KNOW mine wouldn't have near 440 pages in it! NOt yet, anyway.

Ok, how lame are those women?? You don't ever read IN a pool, and you certainly don't begrudge children their cannonball rights! If they want to read while sitting in water, that's what BATHTUBS are for!
I wish I had a good song for you. The only songs that remind me of summer are the songs that were played over and over and over when I was working Skycoaster at Lagoon a million summers ago. I'm still so sick of all of them, I simply can't bear spreading the agony to anyone else! Enjoy the sun for us! We're all still freezing here in Utah!
