It's pretty early to give an official medical opinion,
but I know BOY PARTS when I see them...
but I know BOY PARTS when I see them...

The best part about the ultrasound (besides Zack squealing every time he saw movement) was watching the baby chow his thumb. At one point he coughed and both hands went up in the air and AS SOON as he was finished, that thumb scrambled back to his mouth.

Our boys LOVED being there and could not stop giggling. Every time he moved, Zack would stand up on his chair and say, "He kicked! I saw him kick!" I think Ben was a bit disappointed that it wasn't a girl, but each time I asked him if he was sad, he defensively said, "NO.. but how sure are they?" Luke and Zack seem to be stoked about having another brother.
And let's be honest here...what little girl wants to join three older brothers who are obsessed with Transformers/Star Wars/Superheros? The thought of having to do pigtails or bows freaks me out. I don't know how to deal with my own hormones, let alone someone else's. But mostly, I keep thinking about this new little baby and how lucky he is to be joining the crew of boys. I feel truly grateful and I am counting each and every blessing. This little guy really is a miracle! Blessing #746- I don't need to buy ANYTHING for the new baby. We're all stocked up!

not this cute anymore!

Very fun post! All that Zack said - SO cute! I'm so excited for you :) Congratulations! :) Thanks for sharing!!!
I love the ultrasound pictures! And that's true about being "stock up!" I think it's sweet how badly Ben wanted a sister. You have the greatest little guys. Maybe that's why you're boys...the world needs more good men down the road!
* you're having boys...
I'm sure you would've figured that out. I'm not reading over it again because I'm SURE to have another typo.
Congrats! Sorry I haven't called you back. I just had to drop a note and say, I believe that baby needs a whole new wardrobe which can be attained by visiting my basement. Feel free to come by anytime, just make sure you have at least 3 hours to dedicate to searching through clothes!!! (Besides I am pretty sure I have a couple of boxes of clothes of yours burried in there too!)
It is definitely a BOY!! Those ultrasound pictures are great and so clear!! He totally looks like your boys. I don't think I realized how different and definite babies profiles can be on ultrasounds. In the last week I've seen mine, yours, and Azy's and they all look different! Franklin and Weston have similar profiles. We'll see. I can't wait for us to have boys together!! And it's nice not to worry about hair. :) xoxo
One more thing. Those pictures are great for 14 weeks. I think this boy is here to stay! I hope you get some energy back soon.
Oh! How cute!!! I love alien baby, they make me happy. I am happy that all looks so good. And that baby boy #4 is well on its way. COngrats to all! You will make lots of little girls happy with yet another Shumway boy :)
Yea for more boys! My mother-in-law had four boys and she loved it. Love your kids' reactions too. Great ultrasound pictures - you are much better at deciphering them than I am. I can never figure any of it out. Congrats! :)
Welcome to a special club! There's a great trust in having all boys, but I think I'm biased.
that is so sweet!!! you never know janet... the doctors called my brother a girl for my mom's entire pregnancy and he came out with one of the biggest dinglewhoppers they'd ever seen... (i think i just made that word up)... whatever it is, that little baby is so lucky to be coming to such an amazing family! i really don't know how you manage to do so much janet... you've inspired me to clean my whole house today... and maybe shower too! hope you start to feel better soon.
Congrats! He looks great - how fun to see him so big already! This must be the season for boys- keri, you, samye and brittany are all having boys!
Hooray for another Shumway boy! He has 3 adaorable and amazing brothers to look up to! COngratulations!
Congratulations! Those are such great ultrasound pictures. I love his little hand and fist. Yay for not having to buy new stuff! I hope you start feeling back to normal soon...or as normal as you can feel while being pregnant.
So much fun! Congrats!
How lame am I? I didn't even know you were pregnant!! Congratulations!!! We are very excited for you guys... and I agree that pigtails and hormones scare me to death - boys will be just fine, thank you! Obviously I have to get back into following people's blogs so I know what is going on in everyone's lives!
Congratulations on another baby boy! He definitely didn't have any qualms about showing off his privates!
When I was pregnant with number four, we were living in Albania and the doc there told me during the 20 week ultrasound that it was a girl--100% he said. Everyone got all excited about us having a girl after three boys. Fast forward to when we arrived back in the States, (I was 7 1/2 months pregnant) and I went to the U.S. doc to have another ultrasound done. They informed me that we were in fact having another boy, not a girl. Joe and I were fine with it and very happy, but Joseph and Grant just burst into tears when they heard the news. It took a couple of days for them to get over it, but they came around. Anyhow, Austin was my fourth and I don't know what I would do without him. He's something totally special and I'm so glad that he came at the time he did.
I'm sure your new little boy will be as amazing as the rest of your boys! They can't help but be amazing with you as their mom.
SOOOOOO cute! I loved taking my kids to the Dr. with me, they get so excited over EVERYTHING. Love the hand picture.
Congrats Janet. I am so happy for you guys. That's awesome.
Congrats on another boy! He already looks strong, healthy, and as handsome as any little guy could possibly look in an ultrasound!
Congrats!! Four boys is so much fun, you will love it!
Hooray for boys! I am excited for you. I'm with you on the baby being a blessing and miracle. And on being stocked up. I hope to only have to buy diapers and maybe a few new outfits on a splurge!
I've been sort of out of touch with the blogging world for awhile so I was so excited to hear that you are prego! Yeah! And boy #4? Who would expect anything else? :) What makes me laugh is that your sister has 4 girls and you'll have 4 boys. How did that happen?!?! Anyway, hope you are feeling ok. I am very excited for you guys.
