camping and babies don't mix.

It's Sunday evening. I've been up since 5 am. Just a minute ago (9 PM) I was in bed, 95% asleep-- when Aaron came in, tickled my feet and said, "Don't you want to come and hang out with me while I fix the TV?" (We've had a television on the floor of our loft for two weeks now... He's been too busy to fix it and we are turning into THAT grown-up family-- where life is moving at such a fast pace that we just can't seem to keep up.) I told him that I was too tired and just wanted to go to sleep. Then he said, "Are you sure you don't have anything to do on the computer?" I mumbled, "I can always find something to blog about." Then he said, "That's my girl." So here I am, typing with sleepy eyes. And trying to be sneaky about taking a picture of my Mr.FixIt. Do you think it's time for us to get a flat screen? We don't. We'll buy a flat screen just as soon as we get rid of those cassette tapes sitting on top of our VCR. Oh, man... I am deliriously tired and I just can't stop giggling. Why the H do we have cassette tapes?
It's been quite the weekend. We took Simon on his first camping trip and discovered that Simon doesn't like camping. Too bad for the rest of the family and our fun summer plans. We're supposed to camp on the beach next month. I am seriously considering bringing his crib and setting it up in a tent next to ours so we can get a little sleep. I'm gonna have to pack his crib or leave him home alone... those are my only choices and I don't know which one sounds like the better option. Anyone want to adopt a baby for the weekend so the rest of our family can have some fun? Baby will go to the highest bidder.

The TV's fixed and it's working like a charm. You've Got Mail is playing in the background. "The number of people who think he looks like Clark Gable. One hundred and fifty-two people who think he looks like a Clark BAR." Aaron's ready for bed and I do whatever he does. I will close this random post by sharing my two favorite highlights of the camping trip (besides hanging out with our awesome neighbors, of course.)

#1) watching Zack pee in the bushes. He has no shame. He drops his trousers/swimsuit anywhere he darn well pleases. His pee-stance just had to be captured on camera. There's no denying the kid has style. and a cute hiney. I'm pretty sure I have enough posts for a label titled "Zack's tush."


#2) seeing Sy-Guy hang out in the natural spring pool at the camp ground. He was chillin' like a villain in that baby floaty. That smile almost made up for the eight hours of solid crying the night before.
