the gift that keeps on giving

The three older boys were dreaming sweet dreams before Aaron got home last night.. and the baby should have been too. But Aaron hadn't seen Simon all day, so I kept him awake. He squealed when Daddy walked through the door... knowing good and well that Dad would put on a show for him. We cuddled up in bed with our sleepy guy and took a million pictures of him cooing. There's NOTHING like a baby. I get so excited to see his chubby face in the morning. This motherhood thing, as hard as it can be sometimes, is my dream. I feel so grateful to be living it.

Smiley-Simey is so precious. He's starting to grab things, but still can't quite figure out the eye-hand coordination thing. He often punches himself in the face and his brothers love that. He is grabbing (and sucking on) his toes. He LOVES food more than life itself. Oh boy.. this kid is heavy! His skin is like butta. His face is gorgeous. His smile is like cocaine. I am a Simon junkie.

ps. this is what he looks like after he falls asleep and you take a picture of him.. he doesn't like that flash!

I realize you JUST posted this and I am going to look like I sit around waiting for you to post all day...

What a lover!!! He is SO handsome, Janet. I love his eyes, I love his smile. What a sweet little man he is. His dimples are to die for! Babies make everything right in the world, don't they? And did I read right (a few posts ago) that he is 32 inches long...is that for real? Kelly is 33 inches and Max is 37 or 38. Maybe my kids are shrimps! I can't wait to hang with this little guy this summer.

So, so completely adorable! If I wasn't due to have my own baby in a couple weeks, I'd be seriously contemplating stealing yours in the middle of the night.
(After looking at the pictures again, I still might...)**

**disclaimer: I would never really steal your baby. I have to clear myself, just in case.
