baby girls!!

So excited for my little brother and his wifey!
They had a beautiful baby girl yesterday..
AMARA KATE
She is going to be bff's with my baby girl, I just know it.

Many of you have asked if we're keeping the baby's name a secret.
Nope. We just haven't decided yet.

We have narrowed the list down to about ten or so.
Here they are in random order.

Eden
Adele
Roma
Tess
Quinn
Rylee
Stella
Hazel
Meg
Joslyn (or just plain Jo)

The other day, Aaron suggested the name SASHA.
Say that with our last name ten times fast..

It's not easy agreeing on a name with this husband of mine...
that's why I've decided to do a poll.
Vote on your favorite of our favorites.
We may or may not take your advice, though.
a lot can change in 3 months.

I wish I could vote for more than one! I love Roma, and that it's after your grandmother who you love so much (I'm a sucker for family names), but I also LOVE Tess.
I'm so excited for you guys to have a little girl!!!

I vote for Joslyn or Quinn...Cause they are names I would consider for my own. I think Eden fits real nice with the rest of your clan though!

I'm leaning towards Jade's picks, including Eden. Not very fond of old fashioned names -- the current generation seems to be bringing back all the old not-so-cool names from our generation and making them cool -- the circle of life :). I laughed when I read Sasha because we considered naming Aaron, SEAN -- say that with Shumway 10 times fast. And then add my Dad’s real given name for the middle name, and you have the initials SIS, so we didn’t go there. Now I actually think Sean would have worked just fine. As my Mom told us after she "repented" from questioning our firstborn's name: “she's YOUR baby and you have the privilege of naming her, so don't give credence to others' choices/comments…” So, we didn't, and we lucked out that she loves her very unique name! I like the flow of your boys’ one-syllable names with two-syllable middle names, including Benjamin who has been Ben since day one. Hmmm….just had a thought: how about Quinnlee Roma? See?........it can get crazy! Good luck. PS/Please tell Kevin I've always loved the name Mara.

well, I LOVE Adele. It's my mom's name and my youngest girls middle name. I would have named her Adele but I couldn't see my dad (my mom's ex-husband holding my baby saying "oh beautiful Adele, I love you" ya know?) Anyway, beautiful name.

Also, Tess. if we have another girl I'd name her Tess/Tessa or Loralei.

I have a friend who just had a daughter named Hazel, LOVE it! especially since her first girl was Goldie.

Honestly, you've got GREAT taste in girl names!

congrats :)

I vote for Quinn because she's number 5! Our 5th baby (all girls!) has the middle name Quincy.

For me, naming my daughter was so much fun. Name combos are a great way of finding that perfect name. (Quinnlee Roma- totally awesome!) I have a friend who's name is her mom's.... but spelled backwards. (Rethsey- h is silent- mom's name is Esther)

For me, I wanted V to have both an Italian and American names because of Nationality. So I narrowed her first names to Valentina or Giada. I loved them both and couldn't decide so, my husband suggested using Giada as the middle name. So we went with Valentina Jade.

ps... Jade has been one of my FAVORITE names ever since I met your in-laws! I had never heard that name before and I loved it!! And if you call her Stella Roma, she'll rock it b/c it's Italian and.... the boys can call her Smelly Stelly!

I LOVE Valentina. But I am not into combining names... no thanks to Quinnlee. In fact, it's all about one syllables for me. That's why I love Tess and Quinn. Stella is out for Aaron.

I do love Quincy because it means 5th (that's why we considered it in the first place) but Quinn seems more feminine to me and after 4 boys I really want a name that doesn't sound like a boy's, but apparently, I like the more masculine names. Picking the right name is a really hard decision!
