- temperatures from hell.
- having to run errands with four kids.. with 112 degree heat and a pregnant tummy.
- going to pack meeting by myself-- I mean, with four boys.
- having to put the kids to bed without my husband.
- wanting to call my mom and cry, only to realize it's 2 AM in Chile.
- not ever being able to catch up on housework.
- being in charge of/responsible for too many things.
- Simon not napping-- ever. So annoying!
- not fitting in anything.. not wanting to wear the things that actually do fit.
- not having time to put a gazillion pictures on the blog.
- school shopping for my kids (such a sad thing for a homeschooling mom)
- not sleeping well-- charlie horses, having to pee every hour, etc.
- feeling annoyed and emotionally unstable...
best things about this week:
- watching The Help with girl friends... yes, it was a late night, but so worth it.
- a neighbor bringing over a delicious dinner. It could not have been better timing.
- fun field trips.
- talking to my sisters on the phone. they are almost as good as mom.
- lots of time in the pool.
- watching Simon grab a hose and spray down unsuspecting adults at pack meeting.
- eating delicious Indian food with a few families in our ward. YUM!
- a thoughtful present brought over by a sweet friend-- for no reason at all.
- spending quality time with my boys-- knowing that everything is going to change next week.
- bubble baths
- getting complimented by strangers about my awesomely behaved kids.
- eating at cafe rio for lunch. that place always makes me feel better.
- seeing a man walking down a busy road wearing only an American flag speedo (+ shoes & socks).. I will upload the picture soon.

not this cute anymore!

Hang in there Janet! I woke up with some of those same feelings this morning. Being so pregnant and wanting to do so much, but being so limited by my lack of energy (due to peeing all night long, and the fact that I've gained 40 lb. this pregnancy). I'm also so sick of maternity clothes! I get tired of pulling my pants back up every 3 minutes and only having one or two shirts that look decent on me.
I love that you shared all the good stuff about your week. It made me count my blessings and helped me get out of the dumps a little.
Have you picked a name yet? We finally decided on one--and you'll laugh because it's Janet Lee. Ha ha! Joe's mom's name is Janet and my mom's middle name is Lee. So we're combining the two. It doesn't hurt that I happen to know another awesome Janet Lee either!
Love,
Allison
It seems that there is never enough time to get everything done on your to-do list. But you're amazing and always handle everything so well, which is why your children are so well behaved. Someone like me to freaks out easy has children who throw fits :) Hang in there, eat a banana to help those darn charlie horses!!
Allison! I can't believe you're naming her Janet Lee! When are you due?
We have not decided on a name yet. In fact, we're not even close to making a decision. I wish that picking a name was on the top of my list of things I must get done! Anyway, thanks for your comment. It means a lot.
You too, Jenna! Love ya!
I'm due on Sep. 11, so the finish line is in sight! We just barely decided on the name. It had been stressing me out under the surface for months, but nothing clicked until now.
I was recently released as RS Pres., so I made my blog public again and am going to attempt to keep it updated. I have to have this baby documented--especially if it's our last one!
I think this post is worthy of being posted. Years later you will be happy you have these things written down. I'm feeling this way(minus all the pregnancy things) and it's always nice to know that it's just what being 'mom' is all about. Polar opposite emotions and not wanting to trade any of it...
