not this cute anymore!
We're still trying to decide who she looks like. When her eyes are open, she really resembles Luke as a baby. I am not sure if she will turn out brown-eyed, but they are definitely a lot darker than Ben and Zack's ever were...
When she's asleep, she really looks like Zack as a baby, which is odd because Luke and Zack couldn't look more different than one another. I can definitely see Clawson in her. She's got adorable fat cheeks and long lashes. It's hard to tell if newborns have long lashes, but when they're born with them, you know! I hope they are curled like Simon..
She has been sleeping for 6-7 hour stretches.. both during the day and night! I often wonder if I should wake her to eat, but I guess I shouldn't mess with a good thing. She eats a LOT at a time and poops like a champ too. We like to call her "Squirt" because she erupts like Old Faithful. The boys really get a kick out of the faces she pulls when she's at work.
Zack came up with a great nickname for her, all on his own.... "Wolverina". Her fingers are always spread and it seems like she's always on attack!
This was before her first car ride. Mommy and daughter had a date to the lactation specialist down the street. She is eating really well, and I am doing relatively well. Nursing is always super painful for me, so I like to get as much help as I can. Hopefully we will be smooth sailing soon..
We are getting close to officially announcing her name. We haven't felt the need to rush, so we want to make sure it really fits her. Stay tuned..

What a little doll -- and so fancy, too! I also see Luke and Zack -- would never have imagined that combination :). I love these pictures, especially the Popeye face -- reminds me a little bit of Luke's bitter beer face! She is so cute and I can't get over all her cutie girl outfits! I bet you are having so much fun dressing her! I am very excited to hear her name :)
Ooooh, I can't wait to find out what you've named her! although I'm kind of thinking you should just stick with Wolverina. It's awesome.
In the second pic she looks a lot like Zack, but in some of the other pics I see Luke..

Congratulations, Janet. You are an amazing woman and mother. Thank you for sharing stories of your delivery. It brought tears in my eyes and touched my heart. I have no doubt angels were watching you and your little girl. May the Lord bless you and your family. Wow! you have a baby girl now! Out with nail polish and ribbons and pink dresses, curling irons and head bands.
Name that baby! Jeff has already referred to her once as Sasha and Sasha Shumway just ain't right.
