saturday night at the church.

On Saturday night, Aaron and I were supposed to go to an ugly Christmas sweater party together. But at the last minute, Aaron was asked to conduct a baptism in our ward.

I spent the afternoon giving haicuts to all SIX of them (yes, I finally buzzed Ro's long mullet.) Then we got cleaned up & smelling pretty and went to the baptism dressed up in our nicest Christmas outfits. It was the wrong decision, for sure. Simon was totally crazy at the church, so the kids and I missed the actual baptism and spent the majority of the time in the hall. I was walking around in high heels with bored kids, an out of control toddler and a crying baby wondering WHY I have such bad judgement. It's never worth going the extra mile. We should have stayed home in our pajamas. Or better yet, I should have hired a babysitter, gone to the party without my husband and forgotten that I had a brood of naughty kids.

When we arrived home, we lined the kids on the couch to lecture them about how we should behave during a baptism. I took one look at them and realized that they were the cutest kids on the planet. I can't hate them when they're this adorable.
Ro wouldn't smile for the group pictures, but she loved talking to Daddy afterward.
