pinewood derby 2012

We left our campsite in California around 10 AM (pictures of camping coming soon...) We arrived home in Las Vegas about 30 minutes before the Pinewood Derby started. Aaron grabbed a blow torch and quickly weighted the boys cars. It was super-duper, over-the-top crazy, but we made it to the Derby on time and had an absolute blast.

This year we combined with two other wards (which was a total bummer if you ask me) but the boys got to see LOTS of cars race instead of just the 15 or so in our ward. There were lots of awards and it was a loooong night. Zack ended up taking 3rd place in our ward (which was probably 20th place overall :) But hey-- a certificate is a certificate and we have it framed on our walls. NOT.
