Christmas 2007 will go down in the book (or the blog) as a GREAT one.
Ben and Luke played all day, but poor little Z was super sick and slept Christmas away.
Ben and Luke played all day, but poor little Z was super sick and slept Christmas away.
Zack threw up several times during the present opening process, but that didn't damper our party! We had a nice relaxing time and Aaron and I were able to take a 3 hour nap. Boo-ya.
Here are our favorite things about Christmas:
Our kids singing Christmas songs in the morning to wake us up.
Aaron just kept saying, "That wasn't loud enough, I am still sleeping!" And then would YELL another song.
I think we got a bit of Jingle Bells on video as well as a few short clips of the kids opening presents..
(if you want to watch, check out our homevideo page..)
Gooey warm cinnamon rolls and hot chocolate after we woke up--and cheesy, veggie omelets later for a late breakfast (around noon)
YUM!
Ben was SO excited about Transformer EVERYTHING.. toothbrushes, blankets, movie, pj's and of course, toys.
Luke's fav present was his remote control car. It's wheels are neon and when they get stuck and spin in the air, Luke squeals, "It's a DISCO party!" How does he even know what that is? Those days are in my past..
Zack got a little tykes power four wheeler. After his 5 hour nap, he cruised around our house saying, "Beep Beep, I coming!"
I surprised Aaron with a Guitar! We are going to have fun with it--He's wanted one for a while, but even more after seeing Dan in Real Life. If you haven't seen that movie already, go!
And as usual, Aaron bought me many thoughtful presents. It amazes me how he always seems to buy me exactly what I want/need.
One of my favorite gifts is the Anne of Green Gables movies...Can't wait to watch them later this week!
Gilbert reminds me of Aaron.. and I always like to think that I have as much spunk and enthusiasm as Anne.
Is there anyone out there who hasn't seen these movies?
I usually check them out from the library every 6 months or so, and I am so glad I own them now!

not this cute anymore!

What the? Aren't you busy working? I can't believe that out of all posts to make a comment... you chose our darling Christmas pictures-- and make fun of blogging at that!
Correction: I will NEVER beg you to make a comment, especially if it sounds anything like the one above.
And I will inevitably disown you if you comment again MY blog.. please don't ever refer to it as OUR blog in the future.
How rude!
so i'm leaving my first official blog comment so my wife won't disown me at some point in the near future...and because Christmas was fantastic!!
now I'll be able to say, "Remember that one time when I left a comment on our blog."
janet will respond, "It's MY blog and that doesn't count since I had to practically beg you just to make a single comment."
i would continue by suggesting that blogging is a waste of valuable time, keeping you from doing what's most important BUT then realize that i'd probably receive hate-emails and death threats from people i've never met but read this post because their brother's friend's cousin's ex-boyfriend knew this girl who cheered at West Jordan High - Go Jags!
Welcome to the world of blogging, Aaron. If you make a mistake on your comment, you have to go back and delete it... and then make an idiot of yourself by posting it again. You will catch on sooner or later.
I don't think you REALLY believe that blogging is a waste of time (especially when you love fantasy sports--HELLO!) I think the real issues you have with me blogging boils down to jealousy. You don't like me having so many friends. Well, here's the truth. I can't help it if I am Pop-U-lar. (that said with my tongue sticking out!)
ps. what possessed you to look at MY blog, let alone post a comment?
Are you mad at me because I said Gilbert reminds me of you? I meant it in the nicest way.. Gilby is so cute and romantic. Even if he does tease every once in a while.
You two are funny.
I sense some Gilbert and Anne tension going on here....
It was fun reading about your Christmas and seeing the cute and excited faces of your kiddos. Those cinnamon rolls look extremely yummy. My mind is ALWAYS on food at the end of my pregnancies.
We just rented Transformers the other night and I really liked it. No wonder your boys liked all their Transformer gifts!! Merry Christmas!
Oh Aaron and Janet... As you can tell I am WAY behind on blogging but I just wanted to say that I am jealous of your OWN little Christmas with your OWN little family. Looks so fun and relaxing. I am glad you made it back home safe. It actually seems like FOREVER since you were here.
