Hmmm, there are so many happy memories of working with Aaron at BRG. I guess I will forever remember him and his slightly disturbing but sweet undying love for Q-dog, aka Quincy Ivins Walker. Happy birthday, friend!

Favorite memories:

-All-night road trips to/from Idaho/Utah/Nevada, thumpin' the tunes and singing along in the Chevette

-Aaron being hit on by gay Spaniard in the Valdepenas plaza ("yo te dare calor...")

That's easy.

When he came "home" to Taylor for a while and couldn't stop talking about this girl named Janet.

"She has freckles," he would say as he lounged on the top bunk of my bed and stared up at the glow-in-the-dark stars.

My first impression was that he was real. Nothing fake about him at all. My favorite memory would have to be from cody's wedding. It wasn't so much that "you guys are so fun without kids" as Brett said- it was more just getting to know you and janet as friends...that was cool for me. I am so thankful for you guys. I hope your bday was mega radical.

Bev says, I'll never forget the first time I saw Aaron. He and another guy brought Janet home from Rexburg. They dropped Janet off first and Janet said some friends were coming over later. After Aaron knocked at our front door, I answered and immediately his eyes caught my attention. I felt like I was looking into a soul of a very pure young man! I told Janet later that I almost felt like one of the 3 Nephites had come to our door. Really that's the truth, Aaron! Hope your birthday was a good one! You are a wonderful son-in law! Thank you for being such a good husband and father. We're lucky to have you as a son-in-law.
Love you!!

One of my memories from when we were really young is of us playing in the sandbox together. Aaron was king of making cool tunnels, towers, and buildings, complete with windows and water features.

I thought Aaron was a total nut-case when I met him. He told everyone his name was Terrel and that he was from Nova Scotia. It didn't take me very long to understand his sense of humor, though. I liked him right away.

Can't really pick a favorite memory.... maybe when I tipped our Kayak in Hawaii. Or when he overflowed the sink when Ben was a baby and slipped on the kitchen floor (holding Ben and wearing only his underwear). Or when we drove to the Florida Keys in a convertible. I always have a good time when I am with Aaron. Love you, hun!

Amy said...the first time that I hung out with Janet & Aaron was when Scott & I were dating. We went out to eat at a Mexican restaurant in Provo. Aaron was fun and really easy to talk to. Something that Aaron told me once still cracks me up. He told me that when he was little and someone would come into the room they would all act like they were dead (not asleep, dead). I don't know why I find that so funny. I guess when you live in the hood, acting dead seems more appropriate.

The first time I met Aaron was at Rick's college when I visited Janet. We were watching Calamity Jane in Janet's apartment and Aaron came to visit. Janet was working on some art project on the ground and Aaron was standing behind her making funny faces at me. Janet couldn't see him and she kept asking me what was so funny.
