diggin for gold

Cindy just emailed me a few pictures that were taken back in December. I thought I would share this one of Simon because it's.... marvelous.

The photographer at Cindy's wedding (apparently) took this shot of me at her luncheon. I know they must have used a major zoom lens because I don't remember someone being that close to me. Looking at this makes me feel old. Not depressed, just a little more determined to use wrinkle cream or sunscreen... or maybe just start washing my face at night.

This is my parents and their ten children. We're all awesome.

These are the last pictures added to my blog book for 2010. I haven't printed it yet because I can't think of an appropriate title. The cover currently says, "Twenty-Ten. The Year of our Dog." But we didn't get Sunny until December 25th and it seems odd to dedicate a whole year to her when she was only around for a week of it. I have been trying to come up with something clever or something that rhymes with Twenty-Ten but nothing seems to fit... any suggestions?

You are gorgeous, Janet. That picture of you is great. And it does not show oldness, or wrinkles, or any of those things that you seem to be seeing.

Sorry I don't have any suggestions for your book title. I like what you have, but if you are not happy with it, I'm sure you'll think of something else.

Thanks Emily. I wasn't fishing for compliments or anything... just saying I am getting older, that's all.

And let's hope that Blurb doesn't mess up my book like they did yours. I am still laughing at the breast augmentation pictures you got in the mail! So funny!

I agree with Emily, I see no wrinkles anywhere. no compliment intended. jk
You could always use The Year of Our Dog title for 2011. And this may be totally lame, but as you already know and blogged about Ben and Ten rhyme. So, maybe it could be "Simon, Zack, Luke, Ben - all 4 boys in 2010." or something actually clever instead of 'all 4 boys in'. Just a thought, since starting 2011 you'll have TWO more girls.
Maybe 2011 will need to be dedicated to the girls after all. And this little girl in your belly has been cooking and part of your family most of this year anyway, not just joining the last little bit like Sunny did last year.
Take 'em or leave 'em. just blabbering on and on. :)
