rise and shout

It was a beautiful night for BYU football. Kevin and a bunch of his friends drove down to Vegas for the game (we had 15 people sleeping at our place on Friday night!) We were lucky enough to get awesome seats on row 10. and yes, if you were watching closely, we were caught on camera a couple of times! Go cougs!
Talking trash with the drunk UNLV fans was especially entertaining. They were really obnoxious and couldn't resist making fun of our religion... probably because they couldn't say anything about the game. We heard it all-- polygamy (all references coming from Big Love), Mountain Meadows massacre, and how it should be called the Mormon West Conference because all the refs are on our side... right. I had such a hard time not rubbing the win in their faces. Honestly, Kevin and Aaron were just laughing it off but I was such a poor sport and was making fun of every bad play they had... it was all I could do from keeping myself from punching them. Why do I take everything so personally? I am SO competitive and wouldn't have had such a fun night had the score not been in our favor. I might need to take a few anger management classes.

We were very lucky to get a couple of pictures, considering that my batteries were dead before we arrived at the stadium. Kev-- thanks for coming down and hanging with us, even though we're old and married with children. The girl who snatches you up at the Y is a lucky one!

I'm sorry to say that I may have been sittin on the fence for that game, I don't have much attachment to either team. Dave's family are huge BYU fans so we always root for the opposing team just to make things interesting. GO REBELS!!!

I like to pretend that I'm a die-hard Rebels fan just when they play BYU since almost everyone in Ty's family attended (or is attending) the Y. :) But I only speak up about it if they win. Lame UNLV Mormon-bashing fans! I am really glad that the cougs won. Even though I never attended, I still have a love for them in my heart. And I love you for being so competitive about it. You look hot in a hat!
