Not being able to watch tv this past week wasn't very hard.. but there were many times that I just wanted to pop in a favorite Christmas movie.
Here's my TOP TEN countdown...

10
(side note.. I still can't hear "Sisters" without thinking about Kelly and Dana singing that in vocal class! Such a good memory!)

Call me cheesy, but I love this show. I still cry every time Mr. Krueger talks to baby Jesus.
6This is in honor of my kids. They would watch this everyday if I let them.

5
Maybe not everyone's favorite show... but it's mine. I laugh so hard every time I watch it.
Yes, the mom is a little vulgar and there is a gay couple, but it's still one of my favorites.

4
I love both versions of Little Women (and have both of them..) It is such a simple story...
I saw this in the theaters with my sisters. I am so lucky to have them!
3
A lot of people don't care for this show, but I LOVE it. I never liked Nicholas Cage until The Family Man.
And Tea Leoni is my hero. She totally makes this movie. I watch this all year long..

My all time #1
We all love George Bailey, but it's Mary (Donna Reid) that I adore.
I want to be like her when I grow up.
Honorable Mentions:
How could I forget about this? It would be somewhere in that list.. probably replacing Home Alone.I love both versions of the Grinch, but Jim Carey cracks me up.
My kids really look (and walk) like Randy in his snow suit.
You either love it or hate it.. I kind of feel both ways about it.
If my kids were compiling a list of their own, it would include:
Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas, Frosty, Charlie Brown, Rudolf and the misfit toys, Nightmare Before Christmas, Muppets Christmas Carol and of course, The Polar Express. Wow! There are so many good ones! Anything I forgot?

not this cute anymore!

I watched "White Christmas" just the other day, and Clay doesn't understand why I love that movie so much. You have some very good picks. What about "While you were sleeping"?
I love all the movies you listed in your top ten. Except I don't think I've ever seen Elf. I'm not sure why. I will for sure get it watched over the holidays. Matt and I cuddled up on the couch last week and watched It's a Wonderful Life. I get teary-eyed every time at the end. And yeah, Donna Reid...work it. She is a BEAUTY and such a great wife/mother.
I have to say that I really don't like A Christmas Story. It's lame. There are a few select parts that are funny but it's not a classic in my book. I've got the DVD and would be happy to mail it to someone who wants it!
Oh and I must add that I love Home Alone. It's been a fam fave for years upon years. I think I may have the entire thing memorized word for word, dorky I know. But who doesn't love that show?
My husband had never seen Its a Wonderful Life until I made him watch it last Christmas. I love it!!!
Funny you should mention the song "sisters". My sister, Julie, and i sing that every year to each other and laugh the whole way through it. ELf is one of my all time favorites. I laugh just thinking about it. I don't know what it is about Will Ferrel, but he cracks me up! Matt and I went to a play of It's a Wonderful Life in Couer d'Alene last year, it was great!
great choices!
Elf is my very favorite! I think that is one of my all time favorites. We actually watch it all year long.
#5 The Santa Clasue, #4 Miracle on 34th Street, #3 Elf, #2 While You Were Sleeping, #1 White Christmas. Oh, and you didn't mention "Jingle All the Way." Who could ever forget Arnold Swharcheaiodfonoenegers best performance?!
