It's Luke's birthday week, and when it's your birthday in our house, you are the ruler of the world... at least for 7 days. Luke has been in charge of what we eat for lunch and what we do for homeschool. Today he wanted to have a GAME day. So we stayed home and played our brains out. Literally...It actually started out quite fun. I love that my boys are excited to play, yet old enough to understand the rules (and have grown out of the stage where I have to let them win.) That's right, I am playing by the rules and they have to win fair and square! You better bring it!!
We played the majority of them when Zack was down for his nap.. and when he woke up, we tried including him. He would pick up a game piece and move it while saying, "My turn! One, two, tree, five, five." It was cute at first, but after a while, Ben and Luke got frustrated with him, and Zack eventually ended up crying and throwing the gameboard. Actually, all three of them were crying by the end of the night. I finally had to call it quits when Luke yelled, "I am going to KILL Zack!!" So much for a fun day. They all went to bed without any dessert.. and I explained [I mean YELLED] that we won't be playing another game for at least a week!
Even though it turned out to be a rough day, I can't help but smile every time I think of the boys saying, "I think it's Professor Plum with the revolver in the Con-STRICTA-vory."

not this cute anymore!

What a fun day! We love to play games here- in fact, Mara and Wyatt are fighitng over Puzzle Plus even as I type this. They love gmes but it usually ends up with at least one person crying. Happy Birthday week to Luke!!!
It is always fun to play a game... as long as it is not Monopoly. I do think I will ever play Monopoly with my family again...
Ha! I'm glad to hear that you do YELL at your house. I love games... that is what Baylee and Griff and I do in our spare time if we aren't watching a movie.
I totally understand the younger siblings bringing the older ones to near tears from messing up their games. I always get stuck playing hungry hungry hippos with Austin and Jennabee while the older kids play Monopoly or Clue. This stinks because I'd rather be playing Clue or Monopoly.
