Flashback Friday- the FRO

I mentioned yesterday how crazy my boys' hair can be.. so I thought I would scan in an old scrapbook page of Ben's wild and crazy mop. I finally decided to cut his hair at 12 months. DON'T ASK ME WHY I WAITED SO LONG! He was my first and I just didn't want him to grow up so fast. After you cut their hair, they magically turn into toddlers and I wasn't ready for that!

Anyway, this is proof that the longer his hair grew, the more it stood up. Zack's hair would do this, if I let it. And it was kind of soft and fluffy back then, but now Ben's hair is course and dark and the Fro would be even more grotesque... so we keep it short!

Sorry for the bad quality pictures.. thank goodness for the digital era! And just so you know, this is the extent of my scrapbooking skills. I cut out the pictures, stuck as many as I could on a page and called it good. I am more than happy to chuck the glue stick and blog instead!

Janet, I LOVE your blog! You are probably the best blogger I know! I love to read your posts... you are incredible! An Extraordinary example (all growing up), mom, wife, friend... just practically perfect in every way! ;) Your kids are absolutely adorable! I love your stories and your cute personality that shows through your writing! Thanks for having a blog I know I can come to anytime because I know it will be updated and have something fun/inspiring/funny/exciting, etc... to read about - or I even love going back to read older blogs! Happy Friday! :) Marie

I love this page and that hair! I have missed you and your blog. I haven't been blog surfing for a while! I read all the posts on this page and I liked all of them. Think of all the money you are saving by cutting your boys hair. It is a lot of work, though.

Love the hair! And I am getting to the point you are on the scrapbooking, way too easy to blog rather than spending 2 hours on one layout. It is getting too tempting to just go digital... we'll see. Sam

I remember that hair....he was the cutest, sweetest baby! What great memories.....and he worshiped me, ha, ha!! ....smile!

So fun to see the ant farm up and running. Now I think they need an aquarium. Fish and ants could possibly replace TV and video games!

Love you all!!

Ben DID worship his grandmother at that age and he still does!

I am all for an aquarium if you want to buy and it and send it our way! ha. The ant farm is pretty cool and really creepy at the same time!

When I was looking back on all my pictures... I found some copies of the fuzz head you sent me. You were so good to send them to me back in the day before everything went digital. You were so proud of Ben. Thanks for always keeping me in the loop and I tried to comment up above but it wouldn't let me... I don't even know what to say. It is all totally overwhelming. Thanks so much for the nice tribute. You have always been a good friend to me and supporting me through everything. I still remember calling you right after I found out she was dying and you helped me accept it. I'll never forget your email. My Mom loved you and I know she is grateful that I have such a good friend to talk to and fill in for her. You would take in your siblings too if you had too. I'm just doing what I need too and I am glad to be able to do it. Thanks for everything. I love you and I'm glad my Mom could be inspiring to so many people!
