We love Les/Grandpa because:
Ben: He is always nice to me. He has a big garden. He makes good food.
Luke: He always laughs at my jokes. He likes it when I call him Grandma. He gives good hugs.
Zack: He never makes me wear my seatbelt when I drive with him.
Janet: He has a great sense of humor and a contagious laugh. He puts his family first, no matter what. He is such a good father-- he has always been there for me.
Aaron: He is a great support to everyone in his family. He doesn't give advice unless someone asks for it. He never judges and he is comfortable being himself.

We love Stan/Grandfather because:
Ben: He watched the movie Zathura and played the game with us. He throws pillows at us and takes the blankets out from under our feet. He tells good jokes.
Luke: He played in the mud with us and made a rope swing. He plays games with us like Fruit Basket and Hide and Seek. He brought a sand pile for us to play with in Arizona.
Zack: Grandfather is BATMAN! (with his arms out in front of him.. saying "dun-unt, dun-unt")
Janet: He puts 110% into everything he does. He is friendly and easy to talk to. He makes delicious grilled veggies and yummy homemade salsa.
Aaron: He has always been an excellent example. His enthusiasm and drive separate him from the crowd. He'll give you an interesting opinion on any subject you want to talk about.

We love Aaron/Daddy because:
Ben: He always makes me laugh. He taught me how to ride a bike. He always does stuff with us when he gets home from work.
Luke: He plays videos games with me. He's crazy. He jumps on the tramp with me and bounces me really high.
Zack: He crawls on the ground and acts like a monster. He sneaks chocolate milk in my cup when mom isn't looking. He squeezes me tight.
Janet: He is a child magnet. He sets a great example for our kids. He treats me respectfully and actually contributed to this post-- SHOCKER!
We are truly blessed to have these great men in our lives!
Happy Father's Day!

Woohoo, I'm the first comment. That never happens!! I read every post, but don't always respond, because after you've had 20+ comments, I can't think of anything to say that would make a contribution. I love how you had everyone share what they love about Dad and Grandpas. Maybe I'll steal it for next Father's Day. This post will become more precious for your family with every passing year. I don't know your father, (although he MUST be excellent to have produced such a fabulous daughter), but give our love to Aaron and Stan!!
What a great post from everyone in the family. I love that Aaron contributed, Nate did the same on our blog which has never happened before. Anyway, I can tell from previous posts about your father and father-in-law that they are amazing people and that really shows by the children they raised. You and Aaron are such great parents and have such handsome, happy boys. Happy Father's Day!
Happy fathers day to Aaron!
I still want to get our guys together to have a ping pong championship. Ben could use a good challenge. Let me know when you are both in town and lets have them play. It will be fun.
Love what you said about "Father's" and happy anni to the both of you! Wow, the years go by quick!
I love your tribute to Aaron. He really does seem like the perfect guy. i Love that husband's strenghts make up for our weaknesses. But don't discredit the fact that you make up for his as well! You are perfect for HIM! Love tristie

Janet, you seriously need to write a book. You are so entertaining. Dave and I have our 10 year coming up. Time surely does fly. Some days I can't believe I have 4 kids. We even want another one. Am I crazy?

What a lucky gal! That was such a nice tribute to your man. And I can't believe how young you both look on your wedding day! So funny.
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!
My 8yr anniversary is this week too! Crazy that it has been that long. Happy Anniversary. (Fun idea for a Father's day post!)
Happy Anniversary! I love the pic of Luke falling! We are packing today for our trip see you soon.
Happy Anniversary!! What a lovely post. Martin and I pretty much never remember ours. Last year he remembered first, about halfway through the morning, and even then we miscounted and added on an extra year!
Congrats on eight years of wedded bliss!
I can totally relate to marrying young. I married Joe two weeks shy of turning nineteen. When I look back to how young and immature I was, I shudder. Luckily I was mature enough at the time to see that Joe was the perfect match for me and I had to catch him while I could. And luckily for me, eleven years later, I have no doubt I made the right choice. Sounds like you made the right choice too!
