Top of the World

We celebrated our Anni at the Stratosphere downtown and it was A Night to Remember!!

We checked into our hotel room, went swimming and then got fancied up for dinner. We ate at the Top of the World Restaurant on the 106th floor of the tallest building in Vegas. The restaurant rotates while you eat so you get a panoramic view of the city. Aaron made reservations at the perfect time so we were able to see the sunset and all the lights on the city turn on. There was a full moon and it was mighty romantic! Dinner conversation was excellent as usual {"If you had to get a tattoo what would it say?"} We really enjoyed ourselves and tried to forget the fact that our dinner bill could pay for a year supply of diapers (or feed several starving children in Africa!)

After dinner we changed clothes, let our food settle and [at midnight] headed back up to the top of the Stratosphere for a few thrills. We rode the big shot until we wanted to throw up. It was SO windy on the top of the building! But that made the rides all the more life-threatening and exciting! The view was just beautiful and we were just happy to be together without any chilluns!

I did not take this picture myself (obviously) but this was our view all night. Can you say spectacular?

I wanna give a shout out to my sister Cindy for watching our boys.. And to Aaron (who has informed me I have already said too much) I just want to say THANKS for planning such a romantic (and fun) getaway. I could NOT have asked for anything (or anyone) better.

I have been on the big shot a few times and it is awesome and scary, and makes me want to throw up everytime. I love the view from the top of the stratosphere. What a fun place to live! Happy Anniversary! P.S. I tried to make a comment Monday on your anniversary post, but it wouldn't let me.

What an awesome anniversary celebration! One of Rodney and my first pictures together is on top of the big shot while we were dating. This is a great idea for an anniversary - way to go, Aaron!

What a cool way to spend your anniversary! We'll have to stop at the big shot next time we're going through Vegas - you make it sound like fun.

I bet your tattoo would be a heart with an arrow through it that says "Aaron" instead of "mom". Just a guess. I love the Big Shot. It's probably my all time favorite ride. I once rode it on a dance date in my formal dress. I had to pull up my dress for the strap that comes up between your legs. I'm glad you guys had a fun anniversary. And $12.99 for that cute blouse? Good Find.

How fun. We heard about that restaurant the last time we were in Vegas and it sounded amazing. I am just organizing my pictures on my computer and went through the pics from when we visited you guys. That was such a blast. Your boys have already grown up so much since then.
