Dreams I hope never come true.

I have always had crazy dreams and I have always been able to remember them. My husband usually rolls his eyes in the morning as I rattle off what I dreamed about. What I really need is an interpreter. Anyone? These are some of the things I've dreamed about in the past week.. let's cross our fingers that they never come true.
  • Opening Zack's mouth and realizing that his adult teeth were there, but they had all grown in randomly on the roof of his mouth. HOW are we going to get braces to fix THESE?
  • Being contestants with my husband in The Amazing Race, but taking the wrong plane and ending up on the other side of the world.. we practically got divorced over it.
  • Talking to a nun in an OBGYN waiting room about her pregnancy.
  • Having to leave my family to sell pest control for the summer.. that sucked.
  • Playing a universal game of girls vs. boys. Realizing that some evil woman tricked me into killing my kids (they are all boys and we wanted them wiped out.) I thought it was just a game until I saw that Zack and Luke were already dead. I secretly told Ben what was going on and we spent the next 2 minutes (but felt like a year in my dream) running from place to place to keep him alive. oh! the stress!
  • Zack waking me up at 2 am to say he has to throw up. Oh wait, this really did happen. Luckily we made it to the toilet. When he was finished he said with much excitement, "I didn't keep it in my mouth! It went in the toilet!" Good. Now lay here on this bathroom rug while I go back to sleep on my bed.
  • Our Honda getting stolen while parked inside our gated community. Dang it.. this really happened too! Longer story later. How we loved that car!

I dabble in dream interpretations...I'll give it a shot :) THE TEETH DREAM. When you dream about teeth it usually represents an insecurity, uncertainty, or transitions. Since you are dreaming about your son, I would say there are a couple of things based on what you said. He is getting older and growing so fast. You feel like he is going to be grown (an adult) before you have had time to make sure you have taught him everything he needs to know. And, once the time has passed (i.e. his teeth grown in the wrong places) it will be too late. He probably represents all of your sons and your fears of not giving your children all of the Mom they need.

AMAZING RACE DREAM. When you decided to marry your husband you thought he was the perfect or ideal companion to win the Amazing Race. The Amazing Race symbolizes your journey through eternity with your spouse. You were so certain about your decision that you KNEW you were the best team out there. We sometimes confuse choosing our mate with choosing our fate. All of the obstacles that have come your way through your marriage and life are the things that make you think you are on the wrong plane and in the wrong place. You had no idea where life would take you when you chose your race partner. What you didn't realize is that the race isn't supposed to be won, it's supposed to be run. In other words, you and husband don't win the race because you come in first, you win because you finish it together.

Did you watch The Invasion last week perhaps? Your universal game dream reminded me of that movie for some reason... anyways, let's see... you want to be pregnant but aren't and your frustrated because even the nun can get pregnant, and you secretly want to strangle your kids. Hahaha. Just kiddin. I have crazy dreams too. The worst one I remember is when I found our family dog completely skinned, lying on the backyard grass, and then another one of watching a family member beat another family member to death. Dreams are crazy.

Wow. I really like Liz's interpretations. Did she take a class or something? I think everyone gets insane dreams sometimes. It makes we wonder where they come from, especially the nightmarer, do you think Santan has power over our dreams?

love the interpretations! I didn't think about the nun getting pregnant as a frustration because I wasn't the least bit annoyed in my dream, but that kind of makes sense..

Andrea, I did not watch Invasion (in fact, I have never heard of it) but your dreams are totally scary.

Those are all very interesting....except the car getting stolen! That jus plain sucks. That has happened to me before, and it is the worst feeling ever! I hope that it all works out!

Jan-

Recently I have discovered that we have a lot more in common than just our blood. First it was that we both have jacked-up pinkies. Now I find out that we both have crazy dreams.

The best (worst) ones came on my mission. I had the most frightening dreams. I dreamed I was a captured soldier, a police officer who disarmed bombs, and that I killed multiple friends. I even dreamed spiritual things about my friends that actually happened.

Anyway, about two weeks ago I dreamed that one of my mission companion's wife was deathly ill. He was super depressed. I emailed him the next day just to ask how he was . . . and she was really sick. Crazy, huh?

Good luck with all. I love you.

The Honda is gone?! Dang Vegas! Okay, I have a lot to catch up on...I love, love, love the colors in your home and I cannot wait to see this place for myself. If I can spot a green tint to your carpet, though, I'll keep it to myself. :) You did a fabulous job on the dining room. Maybe that painting company should hire you. I am so glad that you hired people, by the way. I only had one little babe when I painted our entire house and that was stressful enough. I love you, I love your kids, I love that I get to be your friend. Later.

Janet you are so awesome to just put it all out there. I am impressed that you remember so much about your dreams. I don't even remember that much about my day.
Can't wait for you to fill us in on the rest of the story. I'm sure it will be entertaining. (But I don't know how you are so composed, i would be a wreck).

Kev- how come we've never talked about this before? I mean, the pinky problems were obvious.. but your dreams are crazy! I have had some pretty vivid ones too and some have come to happen years later. we're both freaks of nature!

when are you coming to Vegas again?

Dana-- can't wait to see you!

That WAS a pretty random wrap up on the following post, but it looks and sounds like things are coming along great on the house! I am cracking up over the treat sheet.

I have been known to have some psycho dreams, too. They are always so vivid and realistic, well...they seem real anyway. I don't think the nun thing was a dream though. I used to be a nun...

Crazy dreams. I had a dream that I was pregnant again. I was freaking out about having two babies under 1 and being fat FOREVER! I was never so happy to be woken up in the middle of the night to feed Kennedy. I think dreams (especially bad ones) make us appreciate reality a little more.

I tend to have crazy dreams too but go through stages when I remember them. I had a dream last night that Baylee died. It was horrible and really crazy. I can't even explain it but I was so glad to wake up and give her a hug before she went to school. Dreams can seem so realistic too. I'm still kind of sad about it.

it doesn't really matter WHAT you post about, we are all interested in you and your life..

sorry to hear about your car and Zack being sick. and hope you never have to sell pest control over the summer. Kevin did it and it does suck!

Maybe it is the fumes from all the painting? I never remember what I dream about. It would be kind of fun to remember. hope Zach is feeling better!
