Okay, okay. I will stop teasing with my post titles already. You're not going to believe me when he actually arrives..I am still pregnant and thrilled to be so. I had an ultrasound today, at 36 weeks 4 days. The pictures are basically worthless-- but it was great to see the little guy on screen. I have been measuring small the last few appointments (around 31 cm) and with my preterm labor last week, my midwife was a bit worried that the baby would be really little. An ultrasound was the best way to find out how much he (approximately) weighs. Looks as though he's around 6 lbs so far and that's great news. I had already had Zack by this point... weighing a whopping 5 lbs 15 oz.
My sister is in town and was able to watch my kids. I would have loved Aaron to be there because he has yet to come to an appointment. (I guess that's what happens with your fourth.) Aaron is super busy with work and I will keep my fingers crossed that he can make it for the delivery.
So, I went solo and it was nice and quiet. It's really incredible seeing him this far into the pregnancy. He is so cramped! Seriously, the pictures are terrible because he couldn't move at all. He was literally doubled over-- holding both of his feet with his hands. And he's so low that we couldn't get any type of head shot. All we could see was lots of hair, but no face because his head is down so far. In fact, the tech kept saying that she's surprised he's not already out yet. It's nice for someone else to confirm how LOW he is-- because I can definitely feel it. He dropped a couple of weeks ago and even though it's nice to have him away from my ribs, I have a really hard time walking!
As uncomfortable as these last few weeks have been, I am so happy to still be pregnant. Honestly, it's been a big accomplishment for me to take it easy and keep myself from going into labor. I am really proud! I am hoping I can make it until Halloween... but into November would be awesome. I want him to be nice and plump. I've never had a fat baby before. Can't I just get a newborn with some chubby cheeks?
Even though my babies are small, they have all had large heads... so massive it looks like it might roll off their tiny bodies. The doctor today was going over the measurements and said his legs look really long and (I quote) "his head is huge!" I couldn't help but laugh as I thought of my other boys with their huge noggins. I think it just means they are born with lots of brains..

So, that's the latest report. Nothing exciting yet--- and that in itself is excellent news. Aaron has yet to pick out a name. He is such a procrastinator. I know he's only waiting this long because he knows it drives me crazy.. Today he threw out two names on his list-- Ozzie and Philbert. I can only imagine a huge-headed Philbert joining our family. Guarantee he will be born with glasses, suspenders and a pocket-protector.
Not that Aaron reads this, but I can always give him a few good name suggestions.. What's your favorite baby boy name? It's hard after you've already named three. I checked out a baby name book at the library for Aaron to read. After flipping through it for a while, he told me that Enrique and Emmanuel are no longer on his list because people whose names start with the letter E are more likely to cheat on their significant other. Maybe I checked out the wrong book. ?
Okay, must go to bed. Sorry if this is so random and doesn't make any sense. I am extra tired tonight and don't want to proof read.
love to you all!

not this cute anymore!

My favorite is Peter. I also like plain old Michael, but not Mike so much, so I'd probably only use it as a middle name. I guess we're kind of name-traditionalists over here. Good luck. :)
I've always like the name Jason but I won't be using it anymore. (since my husband has already picked out his boy name which will be an Italian name)
glad you're still pregnant! :)
i always liked Luke, but since you already have one of those...
i like andrew, will, wyatt, and brody. :)
How about Preston?
My favorite boy name is Adam. I love it's simplicity, the sound of it, and the biblical reference, but Rick thinks it's too boring.
Zachary, Andrew, and William were on our list. They went well with the middle names we chose, seemed classic & simple. I was thinking of you this morning wondering how the home birth would go. Can't wait to hear and see!!
We have a Samuel James in our family, but before he came out we thought of naming him Joseph Nathaniel or Edmund Isaac.
(Middle names are important in our religion because they are said every time they get a blessing or are ordained for anything)
LOVE your blog!!
My boys' names are Gabriel (Gabe), Colton and Ephraim (we pronounce it Eefrom). I think these are the best names for these incredible boys of mine. I don't know how to suggest names to you...I have always felt that a name was right before they were born. (And our princess' name is Saige).
The last anon. comment is from me..Stephanie A.
i like dominique though its long and you can't really shorten it. also jonah, nathan, brian, andrew, daniel, joshua, just to name a few. they're all very common though. probably good middle names. anyway, hope that helps!
I'm glad you are still pregnant too! Maybe you and I should have a small baby club. I was hoping for a 7 pound baby this time but Ben didn't believe I could handle a baby "that big." Oh well. Good luck. Keep your legs and fingers crossed that you make it to November.
Good luck with the name thing. I hate that part.
Logan. It's our favorite place and we love the little boy's name Logan...problem is that all three of my brothers are planning on using the name too (that would be just way too much stress on my parents to have 4 Logans)
I would tell you some that I love but then I wouldn't be able to use them :) I'm excited for a new nephew!! Love you Jannie
We ran into my ob at walmart when Casen was 3 months old and talked to him for a while, really cool guy. After he left kelly looked at me and asked who that guy was... oh sad, 4th baby.
Glad you are still pregnant too! As far as names go, I am so bad at that part. Kelly had total control of the last one with a stipulation that he had to have a name by the time I was 30 weeks. It's nice to call the baby something other than this kid, or little guy. Good luck!!
I love the baby pics of your boys. I would love to see a baby pic of you. Dave was looking at Camille yesterday and said that he thought she looked like you when you were a baby. I told him I wouldn't be surprised because I have seen pictures of Ben when he was little and thought he looked just like Andrew. Oh yes, I can not suggest any boy names because I really have one left that I like and you may not steal it! Okay, it is Seth but you can only take it if you and Aaron just fall in love.
I always think you have a child named Noah. I don't know why. But I have to remind myself that you do not in fact have a child named Noah. There is an idea:). I think Issac would be cute and fit perfectly in your family names of boys. No matter what you name him he will be incrediabbly cute and perfect for his name! Good luck!
I thought I would add my two cents worth, ha ha. I guess babies were born bigger in the olden days. My first, Janet as you know, weighed 10 pounds and the baby boy born at 8 months weighed 8. Third weighed 7'10".
I've always liked Richard--many nickname variations available, Joshua (Josh), Justin, Jason and a sweet neighbor boy's name is Cole. His 2 year old brother is Trenton. Actually not many boys names I don't like. I've enjoyed your blogs this week and today you gave me a start beginning with "Baby Pictures". Always enjoy the pictures. After all these many years I can remember how hard it was to walk when my 10 pound baby dropped for about a month before she was born. It's nice for me to have those memories come back when reading your pages. I know Aaron will pick one that fits the baby perfectly.
Love, Bev
Now that I know I am more likely to cheat on Kevin, I'm going to try really hard not to.
Boy names are hard. I feel for you. Part of our problem too was that Kevin didn't want to name the baby after anyone else's kid in the ward. I loved Luke, but he wouldn't use it because you and the Goins have a Luke. I say, use what you want, no matter how many of those kids are in the ward.
my kids have big heads too! boy names are hard. i can't wait to hear what you decide! i have a feeling it's going to be simon.
Here's some names that never made our final cut all four times... not that I don't still like them mind you but apparently I can only choose one or two per boy!
Oliver, Kent, Reed, Graeme and Blake... I like Benjamin also.. but you got one o those!
Good Luck Aaron.. Naming them's not as easy as it sounds!
