Diaper Deal of the Century

I am crazy. But I am not a crazy coupon clipper. I wish I had the time for it. It's basically a part-time job and I am already working overtime here. But every once in a while, I deal comes up that I just can't resist.

I bought 18 packages of Huggies diapers last night at 10 PM. How sad is it that it was the highlight of my day? Getting a good deal is like smoking marijuana... maybe I can squeeze in another part time job if it allows me to get high.

Let me break it down for you. At Walgreens, the regular price of Huggies is $11.99. They are on sale for $8.99. Huggies has a coupon for $3 off a package.. which brings down the price to $5.99. THEN when you buy three packages in the same transaction, Walgreens prints off a $5 coupon to use on your next purchase. This, my friends, is an unbelievable deal. Paying 50% of the retail price is great-- 36% is almost too good to be true. Who could pass up a $4.33 package of Huggies? Even if you don't have kids in diapers (lucky you!) newborn diapers are the BEST baby gift. The sale ends Saturday, so act now or forever pay full price.

These websites will only allow you to print two $3 coupons. I found three different places that will let you print 2 coupons each, which means 6 coupons per computer. I happen to have 3 computers, so for me, that equals 18 packages of diaper goodness. Sometimes I curse the fact that my homeschooling boys have their own computers. Today I am grateful we've lugged them around for 8 years. The computers, not the kids. Getting sidetracked....

Go HERE
and HERE
and HERE

The first site makes you download their coupon printer software, which takes all of two seconds. (don't worry, you can uninstall it later.) Make sure to go back on each site and print your second coupon. It will let you know when you've printed your limit. Tip: Don't use your $5 off coupon at Walgreens on your diaper purchases. If you do, it won't print you another $5 coupon when you pay for them. Find something else to spend that store credit on. I bought ALL my Easter stuff last night, along with some other great items that were on sale at Walgreens. Now, print your coupons and skedaddle.

ps. A big thanks to my friend Jenny for posting this deal on her Facebook page. I have never been much of a fan of Facebook (why don't I get it?) But I'm so glad I logged on and saw her link. She's has double booty-duty with twin boys! Thanks Jenny!

pps. I also scanned in one of the coupons and printed it out.. making a double copy. Walgreens totally took it, but I felt a bit guilty. I bought 18 packages as is, do I really need more? depressing answer: yes.

pps. I am
so glad this sale was for Huggies.. they have always been my fave. I think Pampers stink. Am I alone in this theory?

ppps. I tried. I tried really hard to post only one picture. But I just can't help myself.

hahaha.... holy cow! that's an awesome deal! I wish I had that opportunity here.. sadly... coupons aren't something that we get here. it's sad.

Wow... that really is a great deal! I'm tempted and will have to think on it. Why think on it? For once, I sadly have to disagree with you. I am a Pampers girl all the way. LOVE them... can't stand Huggies. To each their own brand of diapers!

I liked pampers swaddlers, but I think cruisers are the spawn of satan:

Huggies Rule!!

Can't do Huggies. I was a Pampers girl all the way until I decided to embark on a diaper experiment in which I bought a small package of every single brand of diapers I could find. Huggies never fit my kids and Pampers worked really well...until I found Luvs. Luvs are exactly the same as Pampers (made by the same company even) but they have Blues Clues on them instead of Sesame Street - who freakin' cares. And they are way cheaper than Pampers...

But we're trying to potty train now so my opinion is basically null and void.

Luvs and Pampers ARE the exact same diaper and I don't like either of them. My nieces and nephews are always in pampers and I often think they are poopy when they're not. They just stink. It's like they try to put some kind of baby powder scent in them that magnifies the pee smell when they're wet.

When Luke was a baby, I fell in love with Alberson's deluxe brand of diapers that I thought were even better than Huggies. But they stopped making them. Everytime I jump on somebody's bandwagon, it crashes and burns. (I am still pouting over Alex and Tyler Grady from AI, btw.)

We've tried them all, and our new favorite now... Up and Up from Target. So many fewer blowouts with these than any other diaper tried.

I too love Huggies, but when it comes to newborn diapers, I have to go with Pamper's Swaddlers. I love how soft they are and Heath and I love the smell (prior to being used of course) and how they soak everything up. Huggies newborn ones always seem to leave little crystals on their bums and I hate that! After they're out of the "newborn" stage I switch to Huggies. Thanks for the info though, I'll be heading to Walgreens soon enough!

Huggies are the best!! Anyone who does not think so is a delusional fan of leaky diapers, blowouts, and tabs that don't stay where they belong.

I agree, one picture was not enough to honor Simon on his diaper throne.

I just realized I talked about getting HIGH in two posts in a row. I guess I need a fix.

Thanks Janet. You are awesome. I just printed out my coupons. I can't stand luvs or pampers either. Huggies are wonderful.

Ooh, I need to start stocking up on diapers. Thanks for the tip! Also, over on moneysavingmom.com, she tells you how you can get a whole bunch of Pampers for really cheap on diapers.com, but maybe it will work for Huggies, too? I don't know. (I personally LOVE Pampers swaddlers. But Huggies are great after the newborn stage.)

AWESOME!! Thanks Janet!
And, I'm pretty sure Western Family Diapers are the same as the Albertsons ones that they don't have anymore. If they have WF in Vegas you should try them sometime. Although, they're not much cheaper than Huggies so it might not be worth it.

Great Deal!
Huggies were always my favorite too. I can't stand pampers,
but now we use bumgenius and I will NEVER use anything else again.
I LOVE them so much!

Britany, I swore that I was going to try cloth diapers with this baby and I just haven't. They are so convenient these days.. not anything like we think of back in the day. If you don't mind, will you post a quick price breakdown of what you paid? And maybe how many you needed to buy, etc? Honestly, I am intrigued but have never taken the time to look into it.

I loved the huggies on Jojo bean, but I HATE huggies on my boys. They NEVER work right...So The majority of my favorites have been Pampers...although I really like the costco brand.

Hey Janet!

I just bought the same diapers at Walgreens today as well. I've just recently started coupon clipping and there are tons of websites out there that do the work for you. pinchingyourpennies.com is one that covers deals all over the country. I have a few local favorites, but they post mostly about deals in Idaho. (fabulesslyfrugal.com is may new favorite).

The Walgreens up here has a kid's coloring book that you can buy for $.99. There is a $1.00 off coupon in it for Huggies diapers that you can use over and over. It would knock off an additional $1.00 from every package of diapers that you bought. I'm not sure if it is available in Vegas, but it's worth asking about next time.

It feels good to save money doesn't it!

PS Your family is adorable. I check your blog everyday, especially when I'm in need of a smile:)!

Do you they come in 24-year-old man size?

So I know this was a few months ago but I had to come back and say something. When I had Crew I LOVED the papmper's swaddlers and then would switch to Huggies once they outgrew them. This time with baby Nash I tried the same thing but Nash had a super bad diaper rash for like a month. I took him in, tried tons of different stuff then switched to Huggies and I swear withing 2 days his rash was completely gone! Stupid Pamper's changed their diapers and there were tons of moms on the internet that were complaining about them causing an allergic reaction to their babies! So sad and I'm glad the Huggies worked :)
Totally random, sorry!
