Happy Halloween!

here are a few pictures the trunk or treat.

Ben and Luke insisted we return early from our trip to Utah so we wouldn't miss our ward party.

Was it worth the sacrifice? Maybe.

We just couldn't miss bowling with squash,

An authentic PLINKO game,

or the chili cookoff.

oh, and there was a little train that took the kids (and a few adults) around the church parking lot.

It would have been a better night, had we not gotten a flat tire on the way home.
Yes, we were still in costume... just imagine how many people stopped to help a nun and priest.

I DID make my costume. I almost bought one for $30, but I couldn't do it. I cut a hole in an old white shirt and pinned it tight around my face.. and the black head piece thing is a skirt of mine.. simple as that.
Aaron was already dressed as a hippie and just as we were leaving out the door, I asked him if I could make him a priest.. he didn't really care, as long as he could still wear flip-flops. whatever.

LOVE IT! Ben looks so freaky. You do great Halloween makeup, Janet. I am excited for Max to be old enough to get all of this, but for now it's fun to put a horse costume on him and laugh a lot! Everybody looks great. Funny about the flat tire on the way home...

Well Janet. Because of your chastisment of adults that don't dress up...I repented of my ways and dressed up. I'm just not that creative and I don't sew, so it makes it hard to dress up. Anyway, check out my blog in a few days and look at us.

BTW, your little family looks GREAT!!

Janet,
Your family is so cute and funny! YOu all looked so GREAT at the trunk or treat! So sorry about the flat tire, but it really is so funny that a nun and priest were out there trying to fix a tire! What a night!

Those pics are cute. Brian and I still talk about how you guys were the blue mans group that one year and totally stole the show. We have a blue man group guy in our ward this year and I told him your story. Where did you ever get those latex things for the head anyway - dying to know. And here was my friend's question to you...if you remember from so long ago - did you put the blue make up on your eyelids?

Hilarious! I have often thought about doing that and then wasn't sure if it could be pulled off, but you guys sure did! I love it. Sorry about the flat!

After seeing your kids wear about 5 different outfits, I was inspired. Miriam got to be both Cinderella and Tinkerbell. How girly can you get!!

LYLS! (Short for let your lights shine, which is how I will now end all my posts to you!)

Hey your lucky you can get your husband to dress up. Me and Clint have never dressed up for Halloween since we've been married. So this year I asked him what we were going to be and he said he's never going to dress up again, what a party pooper huh?
