there's no place like home

we're back in sin city and so excited to get a good night's sleep-- next to my man!! Of course, the trip was wonderful-- it was a impulsive, whimsical extravaganza... I wasn't prepared for the late night chats (which happened every night) or the FREEZING cold weather (which unfortunately came our last day there.) The weather was crazy! We got sunburned one day and the next we needed our winter coats.. I was cursing this morning that I didn't bring my snow scraper! How could I have been so careless?

But it was a marvelous trip from beginning to end. Of course, I will share all the fabulous stories and pictures after I unpack.. which might be a few days from now. And just so you know... one lesson I learned while compiling my book-- if you go on a long trip, it's easier to post each day separately. There's NO way you are going to fit it on ONE page. hello! I learned my lesson after documenting our trip to Hawaii... which wins the award for longest post in history... or the longest post on my blog, anyway.

Janet-It was good to see you. I am sorry that we didn't say goodbye. I just thought I would see you at the horseback riding but as you mentioned, Utah weather is crazy! Love, Katie, Dave and Andrew

Welcome home! I loved having you here... like always but glad that you are home to your sweet man. Jason said to me last night, "You are obsessed with Janet." I was just trying to explain to him that it is because we've had a lot of good conversations lately and I wanted to share with him. But maybe I am obsessed! j/k
