This one's for you, Missy.

3 Joys:
(I am not doing my family because that's so boring obvious.)

1. A long, hot bubble bath... with a new razor in hand and good music in the background.

2. Waking up in the morning and seeing the sunrise! I have a great view from my front porch and can't wait to get up in the morning!

3. Being at HOME with my children... I love doing the simple things, playing games, singing silly songs, reading stories. This is my JOY.

3 Fears:

1. Not being adequate.. not doing enough for my husband/kids/parents/siblings/friends.

2. I am not afraid of death itself, but I am afraid of dying and leaving my children behind. If our little family died all together, that would be okay-- but I am completely afraid of having someone else raise my kids for me.

3. Drowning, burning to death, getting kidnapped, raped or killed. Sorry to bring it up, but I had a hard time coming up with #3.

3 Goals:

1. Exercise 4-5 a week.
2. Get my house looking normal.. and by that, I mean furniture in the rooms, paint on the walls, etc.
3. No Gossiping!

3 Current obsessions:

1. Cooking! If you are ever frustrated with cooking, go an ENTIRE month without a kitchen. It works wonders! I seriously get excited to make dinner! Wahoo!

2. Reading.

3. Blogging. Most definitely an obsession. I almost went crazy there for a month without a computer. But it CAN be done! I read 5 books (all about 400 pages) in 3 weeks without a computer.

3 Random or surprising facts about yourself

1. I take forever to eat string cheese... because I like it in REALLY thin, minuscule pieces. It's more about the enjoyment while eating than the actual eating itself. I hate it when my boys chow on it-- what a waste of a good time!

2. When I close my eyes at night, all I see is furniture flashing before my eyes. And then I stress about whether or not it will fit in at our house. It's so annoying! Why I am dreaming/having nightmares about furniture??

3. When I was in elementary school, I made fun of a boy who wore cabbage patch girl shoes. I stood by while some boys kicked him on the playground.. I feel terrible about it and would love to apologize if I knew how to get in touch with him!

3 people I tag:

1. Katie C.
2. Danalin F.
3. Kristen B.

Q = QUOTE: "Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us most. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and famous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that people won't feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in all of us. And when we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

~Maryanne Williamson

Thank you for taking the time to do my tag. I love getting to know people better. I never would have known that you were afraid of serial killers. What a weird thing to be afraid of. :)

I'm glad that you don't want to accidentally drink urine again. I think that's a very healthy choice.

Jenn said...

I've got a small problem with your "U" entry. Seriously? Uninterested in the Twilight Series? I thought I wasn't too, but I ended up hooked.

Try it, you'll like it.

Jenn said...

I should have written "either" instead of "too." Sometimes, I'm just too quick to post and too anal to let it go.

Janet, I have to say the funniest thing on your blog today (and I always have to clarify which day since you say some very funny stuff) was "If Jesus was reading my blog, he would totally comment". I had just gotten done reading all the tags and exiting out and "Jesus" caught my eye (sounds so weird) and then I had to re-log onto your blog to see what you had posted about Jesus. Funny stuff girl! Sam

Wow! I've been tagged on Janet's blog...I have reached the platinum level of acceptance in the blogging world.

I'm the same way with silverware having it's own special compartment in the dishwasher, yet am not much of an organization freak.
And also, I'm curious how one accidentally drinks urine...nevermind...I don't wanna know.

Ummm, I think you need to explain the 'drinking urine' comment? And I think the comment that you are 'good at making friends' is probably an understatement (as evident by the billions of people reading your blog :) ).

Great tags.

I have to tell you, Thats a Nelson Mandela quote....because Maryann Williamson makes me crazy, and so does Oprah- and only because that is one of my FAV quotes of all time (looks like yours too)....They need to stop taking the credit.

Freakin Oprah always quotes it as being Maryann...

Anyhoo- I'm proud of you for turning down the HS tag! I have gotten way too much PRIVATE pushback from that crap....YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!

yOu fuNNy!

you aren't serious about the urine thing are you?

"New kid in the neighborhood, lives downstairs and it's understood...He's there just to take good care of me...Like he's one of the fam-i-ly..."

(my husband's favorite annoying song)

janet said...

Tristie-- That song has been in my head all day thanks to you!

Dee-- It is in fact a quote from Maryanne Williamson's book Return with Love written in 1992. Some people believe Nelson Mandela may have quoted Williamson in his inaugural speech a few years later, but there is no record of it anywhere. He's getting credit for something he never said. A great quote and I love that it WAS said by a woman.

janet said...

ps. the urine story is coming.

becks said...

When Oprah AND Janet agree on something, then it's pretty much doctrine. I wouldn't mess with the best.

by the way, how was your trip? Can't wait for the drinking urine story.

becks said...

the deleted comment was me. I hate when it posts twice\

Kristy said...

Janet, Please keep the urine thing to yourself. How and Why do you delete comments? Are they that crude or what?

janet said...

I don't believe I have ever deleted a comment before.. except for one of Aaron's-- once.

Most of the deleted comments are done by the person who wrote it-- and that's either because it posted twice or three times.. or because they felt dumb after writing it.

I welcome crude comments on my blog :)

Brooke said...

I am so uninterested in the Twilight books too. I think we are the only ones on the planet.

OK- funny story. My sister gave me that quote when I was a Junior in HS. I have had it in my day planner ever since. She promises it's Nelson Mandela. So, after I promised you it was- I googled it. I couldn't find anything I thought was reliable, so I emailed good old Maryann, because I HAD to know- this freaking stupid quote has been such a big part of my life...dumb.

she totally sent me a personal email yesterday and told me the whole sleezy story! Hilarious!

So, yes, it's hers, and know I have to re-evaluate my opinion of her, and I think I might even read Return to Love. I hear her on the radio all the time- on XM- and I'm only about 50/50 with her. I'll give it another shot.

How cool that she send me an email huh?

Girl Power.

Hi! I feel like I haven't been on here forever. I also am very picky about how I load the silverware, which is strange because I'm also not an organization freak.
