500 days

last night my sis and I ordered
delicious cafe rio and Aaron brought it home after work
then he left us to play a tennis match
we pulled the couch-bed out for the boys and banished them upstairs
then we watched my new favorite movie

i've been wanting to watch it for 500 days now
but it was never available at redbox
maybe it was the delish food in my tummy that made me love the movie
maybe it was knowing it was the last night I get to spend with my sister in a while
maybe it was the funky-vintage-quirkiness
but I think it came down to the fact that
Joseph Gordon-Levitt looks and acts (& dances) JUST like my husband
if you want to know what's it's like to watch Aaron bust a move,
check out this scene:

i'm no siskel or ebert, but i like what i like.
and i will definitely be buying this one to watch again and again.
oh, and the soundtrack is now playing on my ipod
as I take a bubble bath
love love love

i loved this movie too.... but i almost felt like i was the b*tch mentioned at the beginning of the movie-- i broke a boys heart similar to this story so it hit a little too close to home :( still a good movie though!

co-- i think we can all relate to her character. I did fo sho. thats what makes the "love" story so believable and likable.

did the dude remind you of Aaron or was it just me (and my sis?)

we just rented this last week! i've been wanting to watch it for 500 days too...but couldn't ever find it at redbox. i really liked it too. LOVED that dance scene. loved how cute they were together. loved her quirkiness (sp). loved him. matt says he is the little boy in a river runs through it...he reminded me of a jonas brother...but i wouldn't doubt aaron can move like that.
didn't love the ending. not that i thought everything should end happily every after or the typical love story way but she was SO fun and cute but didn't really show she was that way as a married woman. the ending could have been tweaked a little for me. still a great flick and loved the soundtrack too. i be needin a itunes gift card.

I still haven't finished watching this movie. I got halfway through and stopped to do something else. I guess I'll have to rent it and watch it again. I immediately wanted to see this the minute I saw the trailer on Apple TV!

Yes! I've been wanting a good movie recommendation. I'll have to check our red box for this weekend. I made our dating life a little bit of a challenge for Kam, so I also like that their relationship isn't perfect... I'm excited to see it. I can't wait to see those sweet Aaron dance moves again!
Thanks!

P.S. That would rock to have you as an morning exercise partner!

It says at the beginning that it's not a love story, and it's not. that's what I love about it. But just because I recommend a movie, doesn't mean it's clean :) maybe i should have said that in my post. There is an F word and a quick sex scene (but you can't see anything...)

take that for what it's worth. I really, really loved it and it made Aaron and I talk about our relationships in the past that paralleled the story..

oh, and apparently Redbox isn't carrying it. That's why it was never available..

and Val, about the ending (without trying to spoil it for others) I thought it was perfect. The ENTIRE movie is through his perspective only. He saw her as perfect and cute and spunky. He thought he knew her, but she wasn't being herself completely.

Sometimes in dating relationships, someone may think they know you, but they don't. They are only seeing it one way. When you are really in love, you let your guard down and become vulnerable- which makes you become less perfect, and more real.

Sooo many people (mostly LDS for some reason) have put on their blog how they absolutely LOVED that movie but I REALLY didn't. Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel are both TOTALLY adorable and that's the only reason I slightly enjoyed myself :)
