The Batmobile has left Gotham City!

This just in........... My camera is BACK!!!!! Say whut? You're not as excited as I am? Let me just say that I am SO grateful for a husband who knows me-- and buys camera warranties for 2 solid years. I was just a month away from proving to him that I didn't need the warranty. But, as always, Aaron knows best. Without a camera, I felt like I had lost a limb. Now all is right in the world.

On to bigger and better things-- like my sons "new" bedroom. Zack recently moved in with the baby. This was not the plan. THE plan was to keep him on the bunk bed with his older brothers for another year or so. But a free toddler bed was given to us and we have learned to appreciate anything given to us for free-- even if it wasn't part of the plan. Zack is 100% THRILLED with his new set-up. Not just because he has his own bed. He's thrilled because he now sleeps in the BATMOBILE. Check it.

The minute we brought this car/bed into our house, Zack started calling it his Batmobile. He colored cute yellow signs for it and taped them all over the bed... only one remains in front. He gets so excited for bedtime, but thinks he needs to put on the full Batman costume in order to sleep in it. Even when it's not bedtime (or nap time) Zack will pretend to yawn and say, "I think I need to take a little rest." Then he will put on his costume, grab his favorite Batman book (one that he can "read" aloud from memory) and get cuddled up on his Batman pillow and blanket. It is such a cute sight to behold. Apparently the mask is more comfortable than one would imagine. ?

*This bed is one of the items we brought home from our neighborhood JUNK IN THE TRUNK. I happen to be in charge of the activities for our ward, but I can't take credit for this awesome idea. Let me explain quickly-- a bunch of people bring their JUNK to a church parking lot. Before it's all donated to charity, anyone can take anything they want/need. I got rid of so much stuff and I was able to bring home this bed AND a nice carseat/stroller combination for Simon. I totally scored and I know everyone else left happy... plus we ended up donating an entire trailer (plus some) of quality stuff to Deseret Industries. You should totally organize one in your neighborhood. We're going to try to do it every 6 months or so. We ALL have stuff we want to get rid of. One man's junk is most definitely another 4 year old's dream bed! Yeah for FREE Junk!

What a great idea! I'm going to have to remember that one.

I love the 2nd to last picture... the one of Zack "sleeping" (if he really is sleeping?) Something about it just makes me giggle.

I love when people give away their junk! That's how I got everything I needed for my baby. In fact, I think we've maybe spent $150 so far.. and that's just from diapers and wipes.

I love that Zack is sleeping with his mask on! So cute!
