hippie cult leader. (she has the charisma)

Model or spokesperson (it wouldn't matter for what product/company - she has that ability to sell you the London Bridge).

PUBLIC SPEAKER. Janet is an amazing and motivational speaker who loves an audience. Something not many of us can do.

She would be a book seller or a librarian.

Sheri said...

Game show host. Definitely. That is, if she could refrain from jumping in and participating herself.

Campaign Manager or Politician. I think she can get behind a few choice causes and make her ideas known and our world a better place.

ANYTHING she wanted to be, she is determind, strong and willing to try anything!

val said...

it's cliche to say she could do anything she wanted...but she REALLY COULD! talk show host, professional blogger, run a non-profit organization, a social worker, a party planner, a lawyer, ooh even better-a judge. a magazine editor, a mayor, a rock star! ;)

She would probably be another Meg Whitman (founder/CEO of Ebay) as her cover by day while she secretly plans world domination by night. I always wanted to marry someone with plans to take over the world - and I got her!

She would be fantastic at public relations department in any company. I think she would be great as a teacher, reporter, a humanitarian, a T.V. host, and many more. However, I think she will always be best as a mother. Blessed children!

Anything that involves public speaking and motivating people- Talk show host or politician :)

I totally agree with what everyone has said...you'd for sure be a big shot with a company or in politics or a public speaker. Whatever it was, you'd rock it. BUT I am so glad that you are doing what you are doing. You ARE changing the world by being a rock-star mom to those 4 boys!

I think she's make a great professor--I'd love to take some of her courses!!

An event planner. You love parties.

Janet could be anything she wanted but I think she'd channel her talents and passion for knowledge and boundless enthusiasm into teaching and training in some way.

She does live in vegas for a reason.... she has always loved to secretly dance when she's all alone. She is good too.
A showgirl baby!!!
Ok for real.
Janet would be a motivational speaker and author. (Do you know she LOVES to speak in church?) She could write about anything that is making her tick at the time. In fact she is doing a wonderful job at this while being a wife and mother. Jan your influence is far reaching. I am just glad I get you in person.

This would never happen Janet is such a good MOm and wife that its her destiny. If I had to pick though RN or teaching.

A journalist. She could be an awesome anchor on the morning news, write a weekly column in the community paper or be out reporting back to the studio. It would be fabulous. Or maybe you could report the weather here in Vegas, although that would be very boring as it is always sunny with a chance of nothing.

Janet would be a talk show host. Each show would be an hour of learning, entertainment, and fun.

Mom says: There's so many talents inside of our birthday girl!!
Janet could be a great computer consultant. I'm impressed with all she knows about computers! People talk to me about her blog often!
She also can make posters and banners faster than anyone I know! She could be graphic artist!!

She would be a great counselor for teenagers! When she was in high school herself, she helped kids that needed extra help, and boys fell in love with her because she could see things the way they really were.Janet could also be a professional teacher, but I'm glad she's a wife & mom doing exactly what she's doing!! Love you, Janny Panny

a MODEL for sure! She is gorgeous, no doubt about it. But she would be a model for a company like Dove who advertises natural beauty and CONFIDENCE. She is so comfortable in her own skin.

Professional game show contestant.

She would have been the Supernanny that is on TV. She would go into people's homes and help them fix them. (Only she would not make them look like idiots in the process)

I'm with Whitney. Janet would be a talk show host who would uplift and inspire millions daily.

She'd host a talk show that I'd actually like to watch, or be a motivational speaker.

Whatever she wants. Draw a profession out of a hat.

This is a toughie. It's hard to just pinpoint one thing. I think she'd be good at writing a personal column or a magazine editor, ironically enough--she'd be a good principal of a school...anything that involves public speaking about something she's passionate about. That's one thing I love about Janet. There's no luke-warm...it's hot or cold baby!

Cody said...

Well she definitely has the body to be a stripper, but I think she'd probably have her own white Oprah type of talk show.

KT said...

I have thought about this a lot and all I can think of is something that would provide a service for another without anything in return. Maybe pro bono lawyer or something.

Cindy said...

I agree she would be great as a boss or president. She's naturally a good leader. Give her a task and it's done. If she's not sure how to do it, it won't be long til she figures it out. She can throw an awesome ward activity together by herself. Basically, Janet can do anything. I've seen her tell herself that she can do anything. Not only is she telling herself that, but she COMPLETELY believes it. That's why she's so good at so many things.

She would be a socialite and would always be in the middle of a good scandal. :)

karlin said...

I agree with everyone... event planner, author, motivational speaker. Anything she wanted to do. She's good at being in charge and would make a great boss!

Teacher! She is an incredible teacher and she could teach kids or adults!

I could see her being really great in finance or marketing, but really she could be great (and is great) in whatever she chooses to do.

Definitely CEO of a huge company, if not politics, some type of public office. She would be rolling in dollars and probably a bit snooty.

Rachel said...

Wow this is a tough one. Janet could do just about anything well. I think I am going to go with teacher just because she has done such a great job molding the young minds under her tutelage. Plus she would be such a hip cool teacher. Where do I sign my girls up for Mrs. Shumway's class?

Dave said...

Janet could do just about anything. She's as good of a people person as you can find, and she's so smart. She could make a lot of money being a real estate agent or a lawyer. If she had to pick, I think Janet would probably like to work for a nonprofit organization helping out children or whole families.

Randy said...

For sure her own talk show, at first it would be like Oprah, but she likes people so much the temptation to turn it into Jerry Springer would be too great....

Jennifer said...

I think you would be a writer or create comic books. When I read your blog, I am amazed at the way you put words together. It is very captivating. I would also say comic books because you find the humor in everyday situations.

Shumfolks said...

A foster mom. Or, maybe posing as a bag lady so that she could learn all about homeless people and then figure out ways to solve their problems. I keep telling her that she should write a book -- she's a modern version of Erma Bombeck -- the most bizarre things can happen to her and the way she is able to relate them makes you laugh out loud! The world needs you, Janet! Write that book, and I'll promote it!

stan said...

She would have her own syndicated advise column helping out everyone on the planet and beyond.

ditto

I think she could do anything well!! Plus as a wife and mother she all ready has these professions...teacher, nurse, therapist, taxi driver, and motivational speaker....etc.. she does them dang well too!

A Madam in a Disney-themed brothel. Duh.

No, for realz, she'd probably be president of the universe.

vickersfam said...

Prez of the US!
I agree with others who say she could definitely do ANYTHING she desired. I don't think she'd be fully happy, though, not being a wife or mother.

emily said...

I agree with Rachel, an event planner. She knows how to plan awesome parties and has great ideas. Everyone hopes to be invited to one of Janet's parties!

Janet is fluent in a foreign language, which is HTML and computer code. Whenever I have a problem with my comptuers, I call her and she knows EXACTLY how to fix it. She's amazing. But I think being a computer programmer is not exciting enough for her personality.

Maybe a sky-diving instructor?

The Village of Randomity said...

probably a like a crime lord or something similar. I agree with Tim that she would be in charge of whatever she did.

Janet could do about anything she wanted. I think she would be great at organizing someones life, or teaching or running an organization. She certainly could run her own company. I could not see her as the president because she is too honest and open with her comments.
