GIRLS Night!!

The ladies in my family get together every month for a GIRLS NIGHT. I am always SO bummed that I miss out on them. Poor me... I am the ONLY one that lives more than 20 miles away (but soon Rachel will feel my pain!) Of course, they are very accommodating when I come into town.. and make sure to put it on the calendar, but this trip threw everyone for a loop because they didn't know I was coming. How nice are they to pull together a last minute girls night on Monday evening? Not exactly the best night of the week to party, but when you are a Clawson, you are ready to rock and roll any time, any place. We had a pampering night at Deb's... and we were all lucky enough to witness Katie's very FIRST experience with waxing!! It was pure entertainment! (and happened just moments before these pictures were taken.) She's a beauty queen no matter what... and her eyes were no longer watering... love ya, Katie!

I made all the sisters in law sit on the couch and had the "pure bloods" behind the couch. I think I got scolded for trying to segregate... but they listened to me anyway. On the couch, we have Annette (Greg's wife) Amy (Scott's) Rachel (Tim's) and Katie (Dave's) Then on the back row my sistas. Kristy, Lori, Cindy, Debbie, Me and my mama. And a big thanks to Louisa (Deb's nanny and adopted sis) for taking the pictures.

And can I brag for a minute-- EVERY one of these ladies is a stay-at-home mom (even though most have college degrees and respectful careers.) Not ONE of my parent's 25 grandkids goes to daycare or another home to be cared for. Isn't that incredible? I know that my mother was a great example to us and made it a priority to stay home (and obviously my dad made it a priority to make all the money so she was able to!) But I find it amazing that we are ALL home-- that we take child raising that important and that our husbands support us and allow us to be the nurturers. Anyway, I will get off my soap box and just say that I am very proud to be a member of this wonderful family. We are seriously an organization-- our own community. and it's wonderful and such a tremendous blessing in my life.

ps. Isn't Rachel's pregnant belly so cute? I am crossing my fingers for a red-headed niece! And I am kind of anxious for them to move because then maybe, just maybe another one of my family members will be a die hard blogger. We shall see......

What is better than a new Janet post? Ten new Janet posts! It is amazing to see your great family. That is amazing about your sisters, though, Cindy isn't a stay at home mom... yet? Right? I hope you gave your mom a big squeeze from me, if not you'll have to do it next time you see her.

Oh how I love and miss your family... we'll definitely have to try and have Tim and Rachel over for dinner again before they leave. Thanks for the fun pics! I can't believe how alike Kristy, Debbie and Cindy look! Or that Cindy isn't 8 years old anymore... time goes so fast.

So, fun. THere's nothing like sister and family. I know how you feel--being the only one that lives far away. It's hard when everyone is together and you know you're the only one missing out. I"m happy you were able to surprise everyone, how fun!
