I haven't really been in the mood to blog the last couple of days, but I just wanted to put something up here to let everyone know that my husband have made up and we're NOT getting divorced. Phew! I try hard to hate him, but it never works! He is a great guy and he makes me laugh everyday. Today in church, while one of my good friends was speaking (Hi Nat! You did a great job!) Aaron leaned over in sweetly whispered in my ear, "If you ever leave me, I am totally going after her." Of course, I cracked up because-- it's so inappropriate and he's just so off the wall. I wished him luck and let him know that I would be cool with bringing her in as a Sister-wife if her husband ever died. I figure, there are already Mormon Polygamy rumors anyway, we might as well give 'em something to talk about.

Another thing I have been meaning to document is the LOVE/HATE game we play with Zack. He's has known what these words mean for some time now and uses them in the right context. It's so funny what he says and how passionate he is about what he likes and doesn't like!
The other day when I was telling the boys a bedtime story and happened to be laying on Zack's all-time favorite truck pillow. He is a little obsessive about it, and even though I was in labor with him for 13 hours (and continue to keep him alive) he doesn't think I am worthy enough to lay on his beloved pillow. He said, "Don't lay MY truck pillow!" I love to see him so feisty so I teased him a little bit by saying, "But Zack, I LOVE your truck pillow." He was mad and yelled, "Mom HATES my truck pillow! You hate it, mom! You HATE it!" We all started laughing and so now he thinks it's funny to say he hates everything (especially dinner when he doesn't want to eat!!) And the past few weeks in church, when it's time to go to nursery to play with his friends, he looks at us and says, "But I HATE nursery! I hate those kids!" I know it doesn't do any good to laugh, but it sure is funny coming from such a little guy!
The boys (but especially Aaron) started playing the love/hate game with Zack. If you say something, no matter what it is, he will say the opposite.. and it's hilarious. I was able to get a quick video of him after church today, but it doesn't do Aaron's version justice. I will have to record that another time. This is my cute chocolate faced little boy, playing the love/hate game. My favorite part about the video is that I caught his EYEBROW RAISING on film... it's his new trademark when he says something that he thinks is funny..

And just so you know, it took me about 6 hours to upload this measly video on youtube. Our internet service is SO slow! But I can't complain because we're not paying for it. I wasn't here when the phone guy came to hook it up so we're using someone else's wireless connection, but it sucks. It never pays to steal anything.. (a lesson I only learned today.)

not this cute anymore!

love the strawberry shortcake remark! "I DO!" so funny. and I love hearing your laugh becuase I know you laugh at your kids all the time. we all need to do more of that!
You should write a book about the lessons you have learned in life. Maybe it will get other wives through their husband in law school.
Ok... So I know your husband from when he was a missionary in Madrid. He told me about your blog and I've been reading it lately...sorry I never left a comment until now, I know, I'm a total loser... anyway, I remember Aaron being hilarious but THIS is just too much. You two are great together! I read you guys'conversation with my husband and we were laughing so hard ( I'm sure that for different reasons)... but who can blame them for not getting us??? After all they have very simple minds and to be honest we can be very complicated... it's too much for them to handle.
So congrats on not getting the divorce... and congrats for having such a great relationship with your hubby!
Oh... and iI will keep on reading your blog if you don;t mind.. I promise to comment!:D
visiting from the blog train...
the video is funny. i have a 2 y.o. daughter and she doesn't quite know the concept of "hate" yet. BUT, she will make it clear to all of us if she doesn't like something.
btw, i noticed you have friends from spokane. did you used to live there? i went to h.s. there, and my folks are still living there.
Me and Ethan loved the video! I think I'll let him watch it again. The mini lesbian comment on my blog made me totally laugh. It will keep a smile on my face all day.
Zach is too cute--especially in his sunday best. I'm glad you and Aaron are feelin' the love again :)
Big news--we found out we're moving to Vegas today!! I'll probably be emailing/calling you to get details on where we should buy a house (PERFECT! you just did all the house hunting for two and didn't even know it!).
I loooove his sweet little voice. I was happy to note that it seems my little boy isn't the only tyke around who promptly sheds his pants upon entering the house, then spends the rest of the days chillin' in his skibbies.
Janet- Aaron served in Madrid? My dad and uncle both served there and LOVED it.
Your little Zack is so stinking cute! I think it is fun how well you document the little things they do and say everyday... I need to be better at that.
6 hours - WOW - Thanks for your diligence. Always here to serve us all with your amazingly witty blog. KK
well, it was 6 hours total.. including the time that I took a nap, made dinner, etc. I kept checking back to see if it downloaded, but it just took FOREVER. but you're right about my dedication. it's for realz.
The Love/Hate game is adorable! I have a Zach and Aaron too! Stopping by fromt eh Blog Train to say, "Hi!"
Aaron is seriously so funny. I cracked up when I read what he said about Natalie. I'm with you though, if I had to have a sister wife, I would love her! Zack is so cute. I loved the eyebrow thing.
That's so cute about Zack! I miss your boys! Love you
My little brother went through a "No!" phase, and to tease him, my Dad asked if he wanted ice cream. It was a major struggle, ('cuz he LOVES ice cream) but he stuck to his guns, and said "No!"
"I do!" That's hilarious. I also thought Aaron's comment about Natalie was funny. I said that to Kevin about Andy Roddick, and now whenever he's playing, Kevin says, "Your boyfriend's playing right now."
I might have said this before; Aaron has the funniest sense of humor but he seems like such a quiet, reserved guy (from the 4 minutes I've ever been in his presence). I'm totally gonna use that line on Tyler this Sunday. Keep posting Aaron's comments and the boys jokes cause I need some new material!
Thanks for the love, Janet (and Aaron?!?). I'll be your sister-wife for sure! if my husband dies, but mostly for the sister part of it...ok and Aaron's $. :) Are we being prepared to live with each other one day or what? I swear we're going to both be widowed at the same time and live together to raise our 14.5 kids. It will be SO much fun!
